Meteorites are the most ancient matter available to the scientific community & they offer us the knowledge to understand how our Solar System was created. With an age of 4.56 billion years, meteorites allow us to understand the whole process of how stars, planets & comets and everything else in our Solar System has been created. Specifically, they provide to us approximately 95% of the information about how matter was created in the known universe. But beyond this unique information, the 45-minute virtual tour with Takis Theodosiou at the Greek Meteorite Museum gives to the virtual visitor the unique opportunity not only to see more than 500 authentic meteorites from our Solar System & impactites -but further more to listen to their story and information that carrying inside them. The Museum's Meteorite Exhibition includes meteoritic material from 75 different subcategories of meteorites from the Moon, Mars & Mercury, meteorites of cometary origin and meteorites from the Main Asteroid Belt and from planetoids, like 4 Vesta & Ceres. So the virtual traveler can learn about the history of the meteors that have fallen on our planet, where they come from, what specific information they carry to us. Asteroids, meteors, falling stars, fireballs and comets are transfering to us the basics data how life was created on our planet-The Panspermia Theory - as also what are the real dangers & opportunities and finaly what new discoveries we expect in the near future in our Solar System. We will also learn about the use of meteorites by the people in antiquity by examining artefacts made from meteoritic iron housed in our Museum as well as other important information that is unknown to the public.

And of course if you are impressed by what you see below, we look forward to guiding you up close using modern technology & giant screens interactively in more than 15 different educational programs in Astronomy, Meteorites & Asteroids, Cosmology, Philosophy and Space Sciences at our Museum.

I wish you a good tour!
